Sailor Moon is an Asian cartoon, right? So why is the lead character caucasian? I know it’s in English, but WTF?

Yes, Sailor Moon is an “Asian” cartoon, but she is not caucasian. Usagi/Serena (the main character) is Japanese. In Japan, a lot of women/girl’s have very fair skin :3

I don’t think missanthropicprinciple was talking about fair skin so much as she was talking about the very obvious blonde hair and blue eyes XD

That said, I think Sailor Moon is supposed to take place in Fantasy!Japan, in which Blue and Pink hair are natural colors- so why the heck not a blonde, blue-eyed Japanese girl? XD
